A 17-year-old boy was arrested within hours of a Swanley burglary.
A burglary in Beechenlea Lane was reported on January 17 in the afternoon with a car, TV, camera and tablet computer among the items believed to be stolen.
Less than two hours after the incident was reported, Kent Police officers patrolling the area spotted the stolen Volvo XC70 and followed it to a nearby estate.
Some of the property believed to have been taken in the burglary was then found in the front garden of a house, where a 17-year-old boy was arrested.
He has been bailed until March 16 pending further enquiries.
Sevenoaks acting district commander Inspector Robert Slade said: “This is an excellent example of local officers working together with their roads policing colleagues to provide a first-class service for victims of crime."
