Police have released an e-fit image of a man they want to speak to after a reported burglary in Dartford.

The victim, a woman in her 80s, reported she was in her home in Dale Walk around 1pm on Sunday January 11 when she noticed a man in her back garden.

He attempted to speak to her through the window and was pointing at her brick wall.

When her husband opened the door to ask the man what he was doing, the man walked into the house and said he wanted to speak to them about their wall.

He then went into their bedroom and asked for a £20 note.

The victim told him to leave and called the police. Nothing is believed to have been stolen.

The man is described as white and in his 30s. He was around 5ft 8ins tall, with black hair, and wore a navy blue top. He had a tattoo of a cross on his face.

Detective Constable Richard Olley of Kent Police, said: "The victims have assisted us in compiling an e-fit image of the suspect. He has a distinctive tattoo of a cross or an X on his cheek and I would appeal to anybody who may recognise him to call me on 01474 366041.

"Alternatively, to remain anonymous, call Kent Crimestoppers on 0800 555111."
