South east Londoners are selling the latest edition of French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo online for thousands of pounds.

The first issue since the terrorist attack on the magazine's office went on sale today and is already being sold on eBay for £2,500 by one Bromley seller.

Other locals have put theirs on sale for prices ranging from £100 to £999.

One particular copy of the magazine was described as a "brand new, unused, unopened and undamaged item" with free postage and packing, with the seller offering to send them to buyers both in and outside of the UK.

The current edition of the magazine, which features a cartoon of the crying prophet Mohammad on the front holding a sign up that reads "Je suis Charlie", has sold out within hours on Paris streets. The editor in chief Gerard Biard said the edition had been "drawn up in pain and joy".

Sellers on eBay are buying bulk of the magazines and charging up to three figure fees for the popular edition, which is usually sold for 3 Euros in France.

The latest issue, named 'The Survivors Edition', has been published the issue in the wake of France's worst terrorist attack for decades, which killed 12.

There has been huge demand for the issue, with its printing scale being upped from 3 million to 5 million. Profits from the magazine sales will go to the families of the victims killed in the terrorist attack.
