A Greenhithe school bought literature to life when pupils and staff dressed up as their favourite characters from poems.
Children at Stone St Mary's Primary School in Hayes Road also had a chance to hear from visiting writers about the craft during the week-long series of events.
On the final day, all the staff and pupils showed off their creative streaks by coming in as characters from rhymes or poems.
Headmistress Susan Taylor said: "It was the culmination of the week’s events focused on poetry.
"We had authors come in and do workshops and on Friday, all the children and staff dressed up as characters from rhymes and poems.
"We had Jack and Jill, Humpty Dumpty, several owls and pussycats and many other characters. It was very successful."
