Police have arrested a 26-year-old man on suspicion of murder after a woman named locally as mother-of-four Donna Eastwood was found dead in Wilmington. 

The body was disovered yesterday (October 18) at the scene of a vehicle on fire in Rowhill Road.

Police cordoned off the scene where the body was found at 5.30am and are treating the incident as an isolated, targetted attack in which the offender knew the victim. 

Ms Eastwood was believed to have been the former partner of 32-year-old Kevin McKinley who last February was killed with a shotgun in Overy Street, Dartford. 

Michaela Sargeant, 26, was found guilty of his manslaughter and was jailed for eight years. 

Lewis Wickenden, 27, who lived with Ms Sargeant in Overy Street, was found guilty of assisting an offender by removing a 12-bore shotgun from the scene and possessing a weapon with intent to cause fear of violence. 

He was subsequently jailed for five years.

Tributes for Ms Eastwood have poured in on Facebook. 

Kirsty-Louise Ann Cook wrote: "Love you my bestie u will never be forgotten xxx rip my bbes sleep tight."

Luke Underdown added: "Heart broken gunner miss you cuz much love at least heaven has another angel x."
