Officers working across north Kent are cracking down on booze-related crime.
Kent Police started a week of targeted action on Friday (September 19) with patrols in pubs, bars and clubs.
It is hoped the visible police presence and information briefings given to establishments will deter people from excessive drinking and from committing related offences.
Chief Superintendent Matthew Nix said: "Officers are taking action to ensure people enjoying north Kent’s night-time economy drink sensibly and get home safely.
"Excessive drinking can easily lead to violence and situations which can be difficult to control, and officers will be on hand to issue advice about the dangers of excessive drinking and what they can do to avoid becoming a victim of crime."
