Dartford drivers came to a standstill this morning (September 18) after two horses were hit by a lorry in Essex.
Essex Police and Highways Agency were called to the M25 motorway near junction 31 at around 6.55am this about two horses on the edge of the carriageway.
Minutes later a HGV collided with the horses, which smashed the windscreen of the lorry.
A vet was called out to the scene to tend to one of the horses that was badly injured and they were later removed in a horse box.
