A shocking video of a man dodging the tolls at the Dartford Crossing has appeared on YouTube - and is likely to cause anger among law-obeying drivers who pay their money each day.
The minute-and-a-half long clip shows the male driver telling viewers how to avoid paying at the tolls before sneaking through right behind the car in front of him.
The driver says: "This is probably a familiar sight for a lot of you people, coming down to the Dartford Crossing.
"What I’m going to show you, here and now, is a way around it if you haven’t got £2 in your pocket.
"I’m not saying everyone should do it but it is just a little tip, which I learnt many years ago when I was at primary school actually."
The video - which, dangerously, appears to be filmed by the driver on his phone from behind the wheel - has met with mixed reviews online.
One viewer dubbed Mrs Darkholme commented: "Won't work from October onwards when the barriers are removed and number plate readers get switched on."
But commenter TheJesusofKayaking was more impressed, saying: "Sweet. Very sweet indeed!"
The video has emerged just as the Highways Agency plan to remove the tolls next month - replacing them with a free-flow system.
Drivers will then be able to pay the toll charge via text message, phone or online.
