Scouting For Girls was one of the many acts to delight revellers at this years’ Dartford Festival.

The free two-day event, which took place this weekend (JULY 20 TO 21) at Central Park, also featured a funfair, a Kate Bush tribute band, X-Factor’s Luke Friend, and football activities from Millwall Football Club.

Thousands of people came to the festival and many tweeted their delight despite the unpredictable weather.

Twitter user @Darryl_THFC  said: "Great afternoon in Dartford for @dart_fest - really enjoyed @Scouting4Girls".

Leader of the Dartford Council Councillor Jeremy Kite said: “I know some councils are cutting back on festivals but not here in Dartford.

“We love doing it and I’m delighted that people had such a great time.

“From the huge crowds in early afternoon through to the dancers in the deluge it showed the very best of Dartford and we look forward to next year’s event.”
