POLICE are appealing for information after a man burst into a Dartford supermarket demanding money and wielding a meat cleaver.
Officers were called at 7pm on Monday (January 14) to reports of an attempted robbery at the Co-Op store on Temple Square.
It is reported the man entered the store, demanding cash from the till before threatening staff with the meat cleaver.
He left the store empty handed.
A 29-year-old man from Farningham has been arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery and currently remains in custody.
Witnesses are asked to call DC Chris Mason on 101, quoting CAD 14-1233 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
