CHRISTMAS has officially arrived at Hartley Primary School and was wonderfully celebrated with a display of festivities at this year’s Christmas Fair.

Reindeer greeted visitors at the school entrance on Saturday (December 1) along with the charming sounds of the school choir.

The merriment was formally opened by Olympic torchbearer Michael Jennings and Santa even dropped by with his elves during the afternoon.

The school hall was decked with decorative hoops and an eight-foot Christmas tree glowed whilst chestnuts roasted nearby.

Headteacher Lorraine Hollingsworth said: “A record amount of £3,500 was raised by the hard-working committee through the generosity of those aacey 11, Mttending.”
