A SWANLEY woman driver has denied causing the death of a Bexleyheath shopper in Bluewater's car park.

Dawn Patricia Chedd, aged 48, of Cranleigh Drive, appeared at Maidstone Crown Court today (Nov 22) where she denied causing the death of 71-year-old Claire Bishop by careless or inconsiderate driving.

Ambulance crews found Mrs Bishop, of Romney Gardens, Bexleyheath, trapped under the wheels of a silver Vauxhall Zafira in level one of the blue car park at the Greenhithe shopping centre at around 3pm on January 4.

Mrs Bishop was rushed to the specialist major trauma unit at Kings College Hospital in Denmark Hill with head, chest and abdominal injuries but she died five days later.

Chedd was bailed to return for trial on March 19 next year.
