A £10,000 reward has been offered for information to help catch the killers of a 76-year-old widow in Thamesmead.

Police believe cancer survivor Pamela Wheeler may have been left for three days before she was found by neighbours on the floor of her home in Newacres Road with her hands and feet bound on Sunday, July 22.

Charity Crimestoppers has doubled its £5,000 reward for any information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the culprits.

Crimestoppers’ London manager, Regan Hook, said: “The news of this lady’s death is very saddening and came under such appalling conditions.

“The community surrounding the quiet street where she lived has been left horrified and in fear after this ordeal and we are in desperate need of the public’s help to get to the bottom of what happened to this innocent lady.”
