TWO men threatened to stab a lost 21-year-old if he did not hand over his mobile phone.

British Transport Police are looking for the two men in these CCTV images in connection with the incident which happened at Maze Hill station around 2.45pm on October 6.

The victim, a 21-year-old from Ilford, had approached two men at a bus stop and asked them for directions to Waterloo East station.

They walked him along Trafalgar Road, up Maze Hill to the railway station, then one of the men suddenly turned and threatened to stab the victim if he did not give them his phone.

Although no knife was seen, the man handed over his iPhone and iPod Touch for fear of being seriously hurt.

Detective Sergeant Don Thompson, the investigating officer, said: “We have followed a number of leads as part of our investigation, including circulating the images on police intelligence systems and checking their identities with local Neighbourhood Policing Teams, but to no avail so far.

“We are keen to hear from anyone who thinks they might recognise the men pictured in images as we want to identify and talk to them in connection with this incident.

“Sadly there is a minority who believe it is acceptable to behave in a criminal and threatening manner. This type of behaviour will not be tolerated, and we will do everything in our power to catch those responsible for this robbery.”

Anyone with information should call 0800 40 50 40 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
