Detectives have issued CCTV images of men wanted for questioning following the Rotherham United - Millwall match in February.
A number of supporters tried to gain access to opposing supporters in other parts of the ground, attacking several stewards.
Police officers and stewards also sustained minor injuries after further disorder as fans left the ground.
Investigating officers have released CCTV images of both Rotherham and Millwall fans who they would like to identify and question about the incident.
A 43 year-old man and a 16 year-old boy from Rotherham, and four men from London were bailed after being arrested on suspicion of violent disorder.
Anyone with information should call 101 asking for South Yorkshire police, quoting incident number 290 of February 28 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
