A motorcyclist has been arrested after a three hour high speed chase through south east London.

A police helicopter on patrol over Camden at 9:30pm yesterday (April 14) noticed a motorbike without licence plates.

The owner of the motorbike drove off at speed, making his way through central London to south-east London.

On a three hour ride, the motorcyclist frequently drove on the wrong side of the road, went through red lights and drove on the pavement.

At 12:05am today (April 15) the motorcyclist was arrested by a dog unit after abandoning the bike in a dead end in Tulse Hill.

He remains in custody after being arrested on suspicion of aggravated vehicle taking and driving away, driving while disqualified and dangerous driving.
