A Plumstead man has appeared in court accused of beating an 18-year-old with a metal pole near a Woolwich pub on Saturday afternoon (March 28).
Police were called to Thomas Street, near the Earl of Chatham pub, at 4.21pm following reports of an altercation.
They found an 18-year-old man who had allegedly been attacked with a metal pole.
He was taken to a south east London hospital with a head injury but his injuries were not deemed to be life-threatening.
Following the incident, Abdi Mohammoud Farah, 19, of Plumstead Common Road, was charged with ABH.
He appeared at Bromley Magistrates' Court yesterday (March 30).
