Four Lewisham robbers - including two teenage boys - have been sentenced following a string of "vicious" violent robberies in Greenwich and Blackeath.

Mustafa Ozamagan, 27, of Milborough Crescent, Lee, 21-year-old Ricky Grover, of Otterden Street, Catford, and two teenagers aged 14 and 15 were involved in three robberies last July and August.

Their first victim, a man in his 40s, was left with facial injuries after being severely beaten on July 30, at around 11.30pm, in Chesterfield Walk.

The group stole his bag which contained a phone and a Rolex watch worth £2,000. But, because the watch was wrapped tissue paper, the thieves threw it away and he was able to recover it.

Their second victim, also in his 40s, had his jaw broken when he was brutally attacked the following day at around 11.155pm in General Wolfe Road.

They stole his card, forcing him to give them his pin number, before withdrawing £250 from a Lee High Road cash point.

Their final robbery, of two teenagers, happened on Blackheath on August 5 at around 10.15pm.

This time the victims were separated, assaulted and had their mobiles, a bag and oyster cards stolen.

Detectives from Greenwich investigated all incidents and were able to piece together the movements of the suspects and their identities thanks to CCTV covering the area.

At Woolwich Crown Court on February 6, Ozamagan admitted three counts of robbery and was sentenced to three years for each, to run concurrently.

Grover was given a 12-month community order and the 14-year old from Lewisham received a 28-month detention training order.

Their 15-year-old pal was given a 24-month detention training order. All three admitted robbery.

Detective Constable Chris Lewis said: "The group committed a number of vicious and calculated robberies.

"I hope that this case serves as an example to anyone out there who think that they can commit and robbery and get away with it. We will pursue all lines of enquiries to ensure that criminals are brought before a court."
