Two men have been arrested and accused of  sexually assaulting a teenage boy in a Greenwich Park public toilet, police say.

Officers were called yesterday (January 8) afternoon by a member of the public who reported sexual activity taking place in a toilet within the park, involving a teenage boy.

When they arrived at the scene, officers discovered the 15-year-old boy in the toilet block.

Two men,  aged 48 and aged 53, were also inside and subsequently arrested on suspicion of sexual activity with a child. 

The 53-year-old was also arrested on suspicion of attempted rape. Both have been bailed until next month.Both men have released on bail to return to a south London police station in February.

Officers are appealing for anyone who was in the area, who may have seen a teenage boy with a small group of males to contact them.

Detectives from the Met's Sexual Offences, Exploitation and Child Abuse Command are investigating.
