Police are hunting a boy aged around 12 and two adults after a fight broke out on a train between Greenwich and Charlton.

The incident happened on October 30  at about 4pm when three people were involved in an argument with a man.

Passengers intervened and tried to stop the altercation, but they then became the target of abuse and threats by the group.

The three, a mixed-race woman, a black man and white boy, aged about 12, left the train at Charlton. The boy was wearing a white t-shirt, a hat with a rim and carrying a black belt with metal spikes.

PC Michael Willoughby from British Transport Police said: "This incident was very distressing for the passengers on board the service. I am keen to speak to people who intervened and tried to stop the argument.

"If you were on board the train and saw or heard anything please get in touch with us."
