Two men have appeared in court charged with murdering Olamide Fasina in Thamesmead.

Mr Fasina, 25, also known as Ben, was stabbed in the heart after being cornered by a gang near Wolvercote Road on October 14.

Alvin Ansah-Baathy, 22, of Old Dover Road, Blackheath, and 21-year-old Louis Henry, of no fixed abode, have both been charged with the murder.

They appeared at the Old Bailey today (November 3) and were remanded in custody until January 26.

In the wake of the murder, a public meeting with police and councillors is being held on November 13 at 7pm in the Emmanuel Baptist Church, Yarnton Way.
