A half-naked Deptford sex attacker who chased his victim down the street has been described as a "a danger to women" and sentenced to five years.

Twisted Marvin Isichei - who had already been convicted of three rapes and two indecent assaults in 2003 when he was a juvenile - lured a woman into his car at 5am on December 1 last year.

The 29-year-old, of Crandley Court, Rainsborough Avenue, had approached his victim outside a Peckham nightclub in Ruby Street.

One the woman, 24, got into his vehicle, Isichei took his trousers and underwear completely off and clambered on top of her.

The victim pleaded with him to stop and eventually managed to get out of the car and run away. But Isichei proceeded to chase the victim down the street, still naked from the waist down.

Two Southwark PC's on routine patrol in the area rescued the woman when they heard hers screams in the street and saw the commotion.

On June 4 at Woolwich Crown Court, Isichei was found guilty, by unanimous verdict, of sexual assault.

Isichei was sentenced to five years imprisonment with an additional four year extended licence period, ensuring that he remains monitored by the authorities until December 2022.

He was also ordered to sign the sexual offenders register indefinitely.

Detective Constable Martin Murphy of Southwark CID said: "Marvin Isichei is a danger to women. The victim in this case deserves high praise for her determination in the pursuit of justice. The Met Police will vigorously explore all allegations of sexual violence."
