Three men have been arrested on suspicion of murdering 15-year-old Lee Boxell, who went missing after setting off to watch Millwall play Charlton at Selhurst Park 26 years ago.

Lee went missing in 1988 and, in February, police offered a £20,000 reward to anyone who could help solve the mystery of his disappearance and help find his body.

The last known sighting of Lee was in Sutton High Street at 2.20pm on Saturday, September 10, 1988.

Lee was thought to be on his way to the Addicks vs Millwall football match at Selhurst Park - Charlton's ground at the time - but never attended the game.

This morning detectives arrested three men and a woman.

A 78-year-old man and a 52-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of murder, conspiracy to pervert the course of justice and indecency with children.

A 42-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to pervert the course of justice and indecency with children and a 41-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.

They have been taken into custody at central London police stations.

Police investigations into his disappearance centred on a group of paedophiles known to operate at an informal youth club known as the Shed in the grounds of St Dunstan's Church in Cheam.
