A ROBBER from Bromley has been sentenced to 11 years in prison for his role in a gang of violent robbers.

Kevin Seefah, 24, was one of six men who escaped with £30,000 after the gang smashed through the main door of a bank in Petts Wood on November 4, 2010.

One of the guards was seriously injured after being repeatedly hit by a hammer to his head and body.

A bank in Chislehurst was targeted on December 20, 2010, when the gang, armed with a sledgehammer, escaped with £31,000 having attacked two guards delivering money.

Seefah, of Ravensbourne Road, Bromley, pleaded guilty to robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery and was sentenced at Inner London Crown Court on Monday (June 3).

The gang, which had other members from Croydon, South Norwood and Tooting, stole more than £339,000 during a series of robberies in 2010 and 2011 for which they were sentenced to a total of 84 years.

They would target cash in transit deliveries including a £75,000 haul from a guard delivering money to a petrol station cash machine on September 17, 2010.

Met Detective Chief Inspector Paul Johnson, from the Flying Squad, said: "This was a highly organised gang who planned their robberies with a sophisticated level of detail and carried out very thorough surveillance.

“As part of their robberies they showed a brutal level of violence, attacking the guards with hammers, sledgehammers and knives.

"I would like to thank those guards who bravely recalled the violence they suffered as they gave evidence.”
