A LEWISHAM pub has lost its licence after police discovered a cannabis factory on the upper floor.
The Holly Tree pub in Dermody Road, Lewisham, initially had its licence suspended by the council after a raid on January 5.
Police said they uncovered 100 mature cannabis plants along with hydroponic and lighting equipment which could be used to grow marijuana plants.
In a licensing committee which was closed to the press and public at Catford town hall on Tuesday (February 19), councillors agreed to fully revoke the venue's licence.
A spokeswoman for the council said: "The premises licence for the Holly Tree Pub was revoked on the grounds that the licensing objectives were not being met."
Four men have been arrested following the police raid and remain on bail until next month.
