A 20-YEAR-OLD in prison over a shop shooting which left a five-year-old girl paralysed has admitted attacking three Belmarsh prison officers.

Anthony McCalla, from Streatham, is currently serving a minimum of 14 years for the shooting of Thusha Kamaleswaran and Roshan Selvakumar, 35, in Brixton in March 2011.

McCalla and two others were convicted of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and the attempted murder of a rival gang member.

On January 18 at Woolwich Crown Court, McCalla was given a further 12-month sentence after admitting punching and attacking officers at the Thamesmead jail between April and May last year.

Detective Constable Elizabeth Dell from Greenwich police said: "McCalla is proving to be a difficult prisoner and this is not a surprise - the judge in his previous trial described him as a danger to society.

"I am pleased with the result of the investigation - attacks on prison officers will simply not be tolerated."
