A 60-YEAR-OLD man remains critically ill in hospital two weeks after he was attacked in a trolley rage incident in The Glades shopping centre in Bromley.

It is believed the man was struck with a trolley being pushed by a woman at Marks & Spencer while he was doing his shopping in the food department.

He fell to the ground and sustained injuries including a broken hip and wrist, and was taken to a Kent hospital for treatment.

Four days after the incident, which happened at around 1pm on December 22, officers were informed the man had suffered further health complications and was critically ill.

A Met Police spokesman says his condition remains critical but stable.

On Boxing Day officers arrested a 30-year-old woman on suspicion of GBH.

She has been bailed to return to a south London police station on January 29, pending further investigation.

Anyone who has information about the incident is asked to call Bromley police CID on 020 8284 8811, 101 or talk anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
