A 60-YEAR-OLD man is critically ill after being attacked in a trolley rage incident in The Glades shopping centre in Bromley.

It is believed the man was struck with a trolley being pushed by a woman at Marks & Spencer while he was doing his shopping in the food department.

He fell to the ground and sustained injuries including a broken hip and wrist, and was taken to a Kent hospital for treatment.

Four days after the incident, which happened at around 1pm on December 22, officers were informed the man had suffered further health complications and was critically ill.

His condition is now said to be critical but stable.

On Boxing Day officers arrested a 30-year-old woman on suspicion of GBH.

She has been bailed to return to a south London police station on January 29, pending further investigation.
