POLICE in north Kent are hoping to make Christmas come early for the owners of a raft of stolen property.

The Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate has seized push bikes, a 42-inch television, jewellery, laptops and power tools following a day of action to combat burglary.

Stolen between May and September this year, officers are hoping to reunite the property with its rightful owners in time for Christmas.

Detective Inspector Tristan Kluibenschadl said: "In September officers from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate conducted a series of warrants which led to the arrest of 14 people on suspicion of burglary.

"We have seized thousands of pounds worth of items and it would be satisfying to reunite the property with the rightful owners.

"If someone thinks that we have recovered an item belonging to them they will need to be able to prove the item is theirs."

Photos of the property have been uploaded to flickr.com/photos/kentpolice and a viewing day will be organised for anyone who thinks any of the items belong to them.
