Be more than a reader

DESPITE their best efforts, News Shopper journalists cannot be everywhere at once.

That is why News Shopper is putting together a team of citizen journalists to provide ultra-local news stories from every corner of the region we cover.

We want to find neighbourhood reporters who have their finger on the pulse of what is happening in their area and can submit regular articles to News Shopper's website.

We want our online correspondents to supplement our existing news coverage and provide even greater depth to the reporting of what is going on around the many communities in the region.

We want to know what is going on down your street, at your local pub, at your village hall.

If there is news from local resident associations, neighbourhood watch groups, clubs and societies, charities or schools, we want to know about it.

Don't just read the news, be part of it.

This is your chance to keep your fellow residents up to date with everything that is happening, but also to set the news agenda for where you live.
