LADYWELL: Safer Streets for Residents

2:44pm Thursday 28th January 2010

By Mary Cummings - community correspondent

Dangerous parking on pavements has been an issue in Malyons Road, Malyons Terrace and Keswick Court - although the control parking zone measures due to take place in April should put an end to that.

The issue of rowdy youths with anti-social behaviour has also been a local problem.

I spoke with the sergeant on duty today, who said that the street briefings are often well supported and they are a great opportunity for you to discuss your concerns about the neighbourhood locally in an informal setting.

It also brings together local people who share something in common.

If you are able to turn up to the street briefing this Saturday, the Safer Neighbourhood Team will be in Malyons Road from 3pm onwards. Otherwise, you can pop into any of the surgeries to discuss your concerns in private and in confidence.

For details of surgery dates, times and venues, as well as details of other street briefings, click here for the Ladywell Safer Neighbourhood Team website.
