The Lewisham borough continued its month of fun family activities by playing host to a tropical fiesta in the Lewisham Shopping Centre on August 12, celebrating 80 Days Around The Mall.
The relaxing atmosphere of summer was captured in the centre with Caribbean steel drums, while children were kept entertained by face-painting and the mini carousel, which proved to be a great success.
Meanwhile, in Mountsfield Park, Catford, home of the annual People's Day, residents were able to make the most of the sunshine by going to the funfair that took place during the weekend, August 10-12.
Here, they were able to enjoy classic fairground rides, face-painting and an enormous bouncy castle, which was clearly very popular for both adults and children.
Children can enjoy the rest of summer and keep boredom at bay by taking part in further family activities in the Lewisham Centre, like Balmy Bahamas-Pirate Adventure on August 18, featuring Jack Sparrow's treasure hunt and a mermaid crown workshop.
On August 25 Beautiful Bondi-Adventure from Down Under takes place, where children can try out Aboriginal dot painting and enjoy the Crocodile Dundee's adventure shows!
