Cycling enthusiasts are being invited to take part in The Chaucer Challenge, a 75-mile cycle ride from Greenwich Park to Canterbury on September 9.
The event is in aid of The Children's Trust, a national charity which provides care, therapy and education for children with multiple disabilities and complex health needs.
The charity challenge starts in Greenwich Park, following a scenic, but challenging route of undulating hills through Kent to the Pilgrims' Way and finishing in the shadow of Canterbury Cathedral, where a barbeque and refreshments are available for all who take part in this epic ride.
Entry is £22.50 per cyclist or £105 for a team of five.
Each cyclist is asked to raise a minimum sponsorship of £115 for The Children's Trust.
Diana de Moura Stewart, event fundraiser for The Children's Trust, said: "This is the fourth year we have organised this race and it has gone from strength to strength. We are sure many cyclists will be inspired by the Tour de France passing through London to Canterbury and I would therefore urge people to contact me now and reserve their place on this fantastic cycle ride."
