A CHARITY PANCAKE race will take place in Bexleyheath this month (February 21) to raise money for Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice.

Organisers are inviting teams to take part in the first ever Bexleyheath Pancake Race on Tuesday, February 21 at 11am. Competitors will navigate a route around Bexleyheath Broadway while flipping pancakes.

The fastest team will be crowned “The Fastest Flippers of Bexleyheath” and will receive a Winners Frying Pan. The losing team will receive a wooden spoon. “It’s going to be brilliant!” said Community Fundraiser Kimberley Wheeler, who joined the Hospice in January 2012. “This is the first ever annual Bexleyheath Pancake Race and all funds raised will be for Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice.”

Kimberley’s looking for 16 teams of four people to take part in the knock out competition. Entry is £10 per person or a donation. Frying pans and pancakes will be provided for all entrants.

Bexleyheath Pancake Race 2012 is sponsored by W. Uden & Sons Ltd and is organised in partnership with Marriott Bexleyheath and Bexleyheath Bid.
