Logistics expert, former Captain in the Royal Logistic Corps and current project development manager at Challenger Troop CIC, Chloe Russell has been seconded to work with personnel already deployed by Team Rubicon UK and Team Rubicon USA in Nepal. She will be providing support to the outlying, mountainous villages west of Kathmandu and will work on liaison and logistics, damage assessment and co-ordination, command and control and provide basic medical support and triage.

Simon Dean, founder and CEO of Challenger Troop CIC, who employs ex-military veterans to provide youth engagement programmes to young people across Kent and East Sussex, was keen to actively support the relief effort. He said "This is a phenomenal humanitarian effort and we are proud to be able to play a part in the relief work. Chloe has outstanding expertise and experience, which will be hugely valuable there. On her return I know she will share her experiences to inspire and motivate the young people she works with here at Challenger Troop. We wish her and her team all the best in their work."

In her role at Challenger Troop, Chloe works with schools across Greenwich and South East London to re-engage school children at risk of failing in their education. Challenger Troop teams across the UK are embarking on a fundraising campaign to support the relief effort.
