The Friends of Greenwich Peninsula Ecology Park are inviting young people aged 8 - 16 to become Young Urban Rangers by going behind the scenes at the park and getting involved in some hands-on practical work.

The Young Urban Rangers workdays will be one Sunday a month from October 2014 to May 2015 from 11am-2pm and will include a range of habitat management tasks from building hibernation sites for newts to coppicing or cutting willow trees for woven fences.

By taking part in the project, young people can win a Young Urban Ranger's T-shirt, badge and certificate, all featuring our new wolf logo.

The workdays will be run by experienced leaders and tools, gloves and wellie boots will be provided. The project is funded by a grant from the Big Lottery Fund’s Awards for All. To book a place, people need to contact Joanne or Tony at gpep@tcv.org.uk, or on 020 8293 1904.
