A group of nurses from Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice have signed up to take part in this September’s Moonlit Walk.

The third women-only Moonlit Walk will see participants set off at 10pm from the Broadway Shopping Centre in Bexleyheath, walking 10km in their pyjamas to raise funds for a Specialist Community Nurse.

The team of 40 hope to raise as much money as they can on Saturday, 13th September.

Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice want to see local ladies join the Hospice nurses and walk to raise sponsorship together in teams.

“This year’s Moonlit Walk is going to be better than ever!” says Community Fundraiser, Megan Boyle.

“We’ve got so much going on including jokes from our special guest comedienne Jo Brand at the start, live music from the Rock Choir, flashing bunny ears, pit stops and cupcakes!

“This is a ladies-only event to raise funds for a Specialist Community Nurse for a whole year.

“We’re asking all local ladies to join our team of Hospice nurses and party in your PJs, for a night you won’t forget! It’s going to be great fun.”

Entrants under 16 must be accompanied by a registered adult.

Registration costs £15 in advance or £25 on the night per person and includes a branded sash and a medal for every walker.

To join the walk you can register online www.communityhospice.org.uk, by email info@gbch.org.uk or by calling 020 8319 9230.

The Moonlit Walk takes place in Bexleyheath on a 10km marshalled circular route that starts and finishes at Bexleyheath Broadway Centre to raise funds for the charity which provides free specialist end of life nursing, medical care and support for local people living in Greenwich and Bexley.
