This spring sees the return of Great Big Community Cuppa Week, 12th – 18th May, and the fundraising team at Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice want to get the whole community involved.

Events are being held around the London Boroughs of Royal Greenwich and Bexley to raise awareness and funds for Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice, a registered charity that provides free specialist end of life nursing, medical care and support for local people, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

“It's all about bringing the community together, raising much needed funds and having fun,” said community fundraiser Megan Boyle.

Local groups and businesses supporting Cuppa Week and holding events during Cuppa Week include Weight Watchers in Bexleyheath, Police in Greenwich, Sainsbury’s in Woolwich, Wates Construction and Crumbs Bakery, as well as many local schools, sheltered housing and care homes.

“Events can be as big or small as you like,” said Megan. “Simply ask your guests to give a donation for tea, coffee or cake. You could even hold a themed tea party, raffle or host a baking competition at your Cuppa event for something a bit different.”
