Around 250 people attended the annual Christmas Carol Concert for Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice at the Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich on 1st December.
The concert started with a lantern procession by the 3rd Greenwich Park Guides and featured a range of popular carols led by the Chapel choir.
Local storyteller and guide Rich Sylvester enchanted guests with a reading of Twas the night before Christmas.
Other readers included Baroness Howells of St Davids and occupational therapist, Wendy Doubleday.
“It was a beautiful evening and the choir were magnificent,” said community fundraiser Augusta Adu.
“It certainly put us in the spirit of Christmas and was a great way to start the festive season.”
The event is expected to raise in the region of £7,500.
