Motor Neurone Diseas Association thanks The Mall Bexleyheath and shoppers

Members of the North West Kent Branch of The Motor Neurone Disease Association manned an information and awareness stall in Broadway Shopping Centre Bexleyheath over the weekend of October 6 and 7, 2011.

We would like to thank The Mall Bexleyheath and to all members of the public and shops who contributed to raising funds for the branch. A total of £594 was raised including the sale of MNDA Christmas cards.

Information was available to the public concerning this disease for which there is no known cure. Members of the branch were able to provide first hand knowledge on care and living with MND.

The Motor Neurone Disease Association wants to see a world free of motor neurone disease (MND).

Its mission is to fund and promote research to bring about an end to this devastating disease. Until then, the association will do all that it can to enable everyone with MND to receive the best care, to achieve the highest quality of life possible, and to die with dignity. The charity also does all that it can to support the families and carers of people with MND. The volunteers of the North West Kent Branch of the MND Association work together to help ensure that people with MND and their families receive the support and services they need.
