PONIES and their riders got dressed up in pink to support a cancer charity on a sponsored ride.
The fifth 10-mile off-road Ride for Life – the equine equivalent of the Race for Life - in Fawkham attracted 420 horses and riders supporting Cancer Research UK on June 30 and July 1.
Orgainser Nic Barnes, 28, said: “The efforts of all the riders and volunteers were outstanding, we couldn’t have asked for better. The weather was once again very kind to us and we are very pleased Ride for Life came back bigger and better than ever.”
The ride has been running since 2007, when 160 riders raised £9,000. Prizes were given for the pinkest horse and rider in several age and group categories, as well as for the most money raised.
