A 26-YEAR-OLD woman has completed the first of two challenges to raise cash for special equipment to improve her father's quality of life.
In May News Shopper reported that Frank Bradley, of Long Lane, Bexleyheath, has suffered from Locked-in-Syndrome for 15 years following a stroke.
His daughter Joanne decided to take on a sponsored cycle to raise cash for a device called Head Mouse Technology as well as for the charity, Fighting Strokes.
Miss Bradley said: "It took four days to cover 301 miles from Sidcup Place to Paris and what an amazing experience, one of the best things I have ever done.
"Apart from a few punctures and a run in with a trailer, it was smooth sailing."
Miss Bradley's next challenge is a 445 mile cycle in Nepal in October.
So far she has raised £1,350.
