YOUNG dancers from Bexley have been awarded a prize in a fundraising competition.
Children aged between five and 10 from Bexley village’s All the Arts theatre school won Most Entertaining Performance at the regional finals of British Red Cross’ Dance: Make Your Move contest at The Shaw Theatre in Kings Cross on May 26.
The dancers had previously won the right to represent Bexley and Dartford after triumphing at a contest at The Mick Jagger Centre earlier in the month with a Michael Jackson medley to the theme of saving the world to protect from natural disasters.
The competition raises money for the charity’s causes and you can donate at redcross.org.uk/Donate%20Now.
School Principal, ex-Brookside actress Lucy Morgans, said: “We are so proud of our pupils, for some of our younger children it was their first show and they danced fantastically.”
