DANCE lovers have raised £3,000 for charity by taking part in Bexleyheath's first Big Purple Zumba Party.

Young Epilepsy, which supports children and young people aged five to 25 with epilepsy and other neurological conditions, hosted the party in the Broadway.

Around 30 people took part in yesterday's event (May 27), which also included a raffle.

The charity's senior fundraising manager, Natalie Sweeden, said: "Everyone at Young Epilepsy is delighted with how successful the Big Purple Zumba Party was and with the fantastic amount of money it has raised.

"Every penny donated from the event will be spent improving the lives of the 112,000 young people aged 25 and under living with epilepsy in the UK.

"Thank you to all the people who took part you are amazing."
