YOUNGSTERS can get into the Olympic spirit early at a Kid’s Olympics in Petts Wood next month.

Children aged five to 11 are invited to take part in running races, low hurdles, bean bag races, tug-of-war and javelin, discus and hammer throw – all with soft equipment – at the event organised by Petts Wood Runners and Bromley Bees Academy.

Proceeds from the day, from 11am to 12.30pm at Willet Recreation Way in Willett Way on Saturday, June 23, will go to Harris HospisCare in Orpington.

Entry is £3 per child and all children must be accompanied by an adult.
