ASDA Bexleyheath’s tenth annual in-store concert raised £1,330 on Saturday 26 September.

The concert featured musician Ian Parker, who plays keyboards for The Hollies and has played for bands including Clannad and the Tom Robinson Band.

The concert also featured local singers who generously gave their time, including ASDA colleague Sid Waite, who came up with the idea of staging performances in-store to raise money for breast cancer charity Tickled Pink ten years ago.

To date, colleagues and customers at the ASDA Bexleyheath store have raised a total of over £11,000.

All the money raised is split equally between Breast Cancer Care and Breast Cancer Now.

Over £44 million has been raised nationally since ASDA’s Tickled Pink campaign started 19 years ago.
