SIDCUP optical experts raised more than £250 when they donned their onesies and slippers, and hosted a fun-packed Red Nose Day drive.

The team from Specsavers in Sidcup championed this year’s Red Nose Day appeal, encouraging residents to make their faces funny for money with a pair of their funny face Red Nose Day specs at an in-store celebration day, complete with a prize draw.

Ebahi Demi-Ejegi, store director at Specsavers in Sidcup, says: ‘With the support of the community, we have raised a fantastic £252.48 for this year’s appeal. Thanks to your support, these vital funds will now go to support people in need at home and overseas.’ Visitors to Specsavers in Sidcup can also get into the spirit of Red Nose Day and make their faces funny for money with Specsavers’ official Red Nose Day glasses, in sizes large and small, for just £3, with £1 donated to Comic Relief.

Specsavers in Sidcup has joined Specsavers stores nationwide to support Comic Relief to help poor and vulnerable people living tough lives both here in the UK and across Africa.

Whether it’s at home, work or school, the public are being encouraged to make their faces funny for money this Red Nose Day (Friday 13 March).
