Gravesham Arts participated in MacMillan world’s biggest coffee morning but as is the arty way to be different held theirs on Saturday afternoon at Gravesham Arts headquarters St Andrews Arts Centre Royal Pier Road, Gravesend.
Local duo Fiddlefit kindly provided live acoustic folk based music, ranging from traditional English to cajun and celtic via the Steppes of Russia!
Matt McCloud and his lovely son brought along the community caterpillar for the afternoon, for what we believe to be the last public appearance, many children and adults alike enjoyed adding to the caterpillar, which started life at the Riverside Festival Gravesham Arts Arty Party at Fort Gardens in the summer.
The event was vey well attended by the local community and we were delighted to see Cllrs Sara Langdale, Lee Croxton and Lyn Milner (who rather enjoyed the community caterpillar too).
Scrumptious cakes and lashing of tea and coffee were enjoyed by all raising more than two hundred pounds for Macmillan.
