Two international magicians from The Magic Circle whose families have been invaded by cancer, have pledged to strike back using their award–winning skills to raise funds in the battle with the disease that claims over 300,000 people in the UK each year.

John Derris and John Styles from Chislehurst and Sidcup are mounting an enthralling and unique magic show - Say Abracadabra to Cancer - to be staged at The Churchill Theatre Bromley on October 4 when the doors of the world's most famous magic society will open to reveal tales and tricks, mysteries and legends of the last 100 years of magic.

From Houdini to Tommy Cooper. From Maskelyne & Devant to Paul Daniels. From David Nixon to HRH Prince Charles, their most celebrated member. Both John Derris and John Styles are long established members of The Magic Circle and both are holders of the prestigious Gold Star of The Inner Magic Circle awarded to only 300 magicians worldwide.

After a successful business career in advertising John Derris on retirement followed his hobby and became a full-time professional magician and performed in all parts of the world from Japan to Russia, from Morocco to Istanbul, from Athens to Pratts Bottom.

John Styles was doing magic as a boy and following military service embarked on a lifetime of wit and wizardry performing for royalty and sultans from Buckingham Palace to Jordan, for Tom Hanks in Hollywood and many other international stars of stage and screen from James Bond to Derek Trotter.

This unique show on October 4 at 8pm is suitable for guests over 10 years of age and tickets at £21 with all profits being donated to Cancer Research UK are available at the box office or ATG TICKETS 0844 871 7620 (bkg fee) and www.atgtickets.com/bromley (bkg fee)
