The Old Rectory Business Centre in Northfleet, Kent, recently held a sell-out fundraiser in association with its sponsored charity, Alzheimer’s and Dementia Support Services (ADSS).

There was a special appearance from Chris Till, a locally based West End performer and TV regular, and the event raised a total of £1,200.

Chris wowed the audience with his performance, serenading the female guests whilst up on the table singing songs such as American Pie and New York, New York.

In addition to the musical entertainment, there was also a raffle with prizes donated by local businesses such as Tips ‘n’ Toes, Claire’s Pole Fitness, Tantilize, Broadditch Farm, and The Green Man.

All proceeds from the charity event are to be donated to ADSS, whose primary aim is to enable people with dementia to stay independent. As such, it has a specialist service to provide people with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia with practical and emotional support.

Michelle Gagie, centre manager at The Old Rectory, comments: “We had such an amazing time at our charity night. We were truly blown away by the entertainment, and have received so much positive feedback that we’re already planning another night in the near future.

"This is our biggest and most successful event to date, and we’re happy to hear that ADSS will be putting the money towards entertainment for its patients at the day centre.”
